The Monkey Was Vivacious (and other road trip discoveries)

My travelling partner set the record straight on the monkey poem. While there was a poem written by a foreign student involving the diapered stuffed monkey, the ballerina poem was actually written by another girl several years before. It begins, “A vivacious monkey said to me, will you be my ballerina?”
